Bigg Boss 11: Salman Khan responds to Rs 11 crore per episode fee reports

The time of the year is here when the audience will be seen getting hooked onto their television screens every night. Yes, Bigg Boss has arrived with full pomp with its eleventh season. Once again, the charming host Salman Khan has taken charge. With an interesting theme of neighbourhood, the season will see a mix of celebs and commoners who will stay put in the closed house for over 100 plus days with more than 80 cameras snooping in their every moment. Apart from controversies, Bigg Boss also makes noise each year about the Sultan actor taking home a huge amount as his remuneration.

This year, there was a buzz that Salman Khan is getting a paycheck of Rs 11 crore per episode, the highest in the world for any actor. With more than 13 weeks of shoot, and two episodes shot each day, well, you can calculate the total amount that will go into Salman’s pocket. At the press launch of Bigg Boss last night, a journalist asked Salman about his fees. Giving her a strange look, the Dabbang actor in his inimitable style laughed loudly while walking on the stage before going to Raj Nayak, COO, Viacom 18. ‘Bolo na, Bolo na..’ he started humming his Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega song before telling him, “De do na Sir.” Raj Nayak getting the cue took the mike to say, “Salman doesn’t come so cheap.” That definitely made all present erupt in a thunderous laughter.

While Salman laughed off the query over his fees, he was in a fun mood to answer all other questions. When someone asked him if he would like to be a contestant in the house, he said, “It is too difficult a show for me to survive. In two days I will land up in the Lonavla (the place where Bigg Boss is shot) jail.”

Lastly, talking about the film promotions on his show, Salman shared, “I am really excited to have the Judwaa 2 team – Varun Dhawan, Tapasee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandes. It would be fun to have them.” When asked if he will also promote his film Tiger Zinda Hai, that’s releasing in December, he shared with a smile, “Of course, aaj se chalo promotion start karte hai (Let’s start the promotions from today only).”
