Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday asserted that the BJP would return to power in Haryana in the next Assembly election with even a bigger margin.
With regard to the 2019 general election, the BJP will excel in Haryana and will again form the government at the Centre.

Khattar, who is here to attend the BJP national executive meet, said the opposition parties in the state are issueless. “Compare the performance of their governments with that of the BJP. The BJP government is far ahead on all parameters,” Khattar said.

With regard to jibes from leaders of opposition on taking charge as Chief Minister that his administrative experience was nil and that he would flounder while discharging his duties, he said he did not want to have their experience.

“Yes, I did not have experience like they had. They used to deprive marginal and common man of benefits. I am different. I work with a sense of noblesse oblige,” Khattar said.

“For the BJP, power is not a thing of glory and self-aggrandisement but means to render service to people.”

“For us service is not fitted in electoral template. We don’t do public service keeping election in mind, but as a meta goal of humanism,” Khattar said, adding that now people had started having faith in the politics of service.

With regard to the BJP’s preparations for the next parliamentary and Assembly election, he said Haryana BJP leaders had already had a slew of meetings to decide strategies; they had lined up mass outreach and other programmes till December-January.
