The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced a holiday on October 22, 2019 for Presiding and Polling Officers of four Assembly constituencies of State where by poll would be held on October 21,2019.

Disclosing this here today, Chief Electoral Officer Punjab, Dr. S. Karuna Raju said that as per ECI order the Presiding/Polling Officers will not be treated as absent from their normal duty, if they do not report for their duty on their normal duties on next day of polling day.
