The centre has sought transfer of all petitions filed against Citizenship Amendment Act 2019, pending in all different High Courts to Supreme Court.

In this connection, Chief Justice S.A. Bobde said that the Apex court will consider the plea and agreed to hear the petitions on January 10.

However, Supreme Court argued that according to prima facie view.High Courts should look into CAA petitions but if any conflict of opinion arises, Supreme court will consider may look into it.
