Chandigarh : More than 2000 road safety awareness pamphlets/literatures educating wear Helmet while Riding Two Wheeler, Not to Use Mobile while Driving, Don’t Drunk & Drive, Wear Seat Belt etc. on road safety were distributed. The sweets were also distributed to the general public through the participant NSS Students who were in costumes of Santa Clause in view of the Christmas Day .

Chandigarh Traffic Police organized Road Safety Awareness Programmes at different venues i.e. Sukhna Lake, Plaza Sector-17, in front of Church Sector-19 and Elante Mall, Chandigarh with the assistance of NSS Students.
In addition to above programme a quiz was also organised at above venues for females and questions on road safety were asked to them regarding road safety. The helmets were awarded  to winner who answered to the questions correctly as a compliment from Chandigarh Traffic Police. 

Total 20 helmets were presented to the females at different venues. The main motive to distribute the helmets amongst the females was to encourage them to wear helmet, so that the accident fatalities due to head injuries may be reduced in the City Beautiful.
