Chinese Ambassador to India Luo Zhaohui met Prasar Bharati Chairman A Surya Prakash, CEO Shashi Shekhar Vempati and other senior officials in New Delhi on Friday.

The hour long meeting deliberated on the potential and role of the two state brodcasters Doordarshan and CCTV in building people to people relations between the two neighbours.

The officials remained optimistic about the immense potential that the two state broadcasters have in conceiving and producing programmes that will appeal to audiences in both nations.

DD and China’s state-run CCTV have an existing MOU since 2015 which facilitates the exchange of television programmes, promotion of co-production on themes of mutual interest and training production and technical staff.
