Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti met Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhawan here on Friday.

During the hour-long meeting, the Chief Minister informed the Governor about her recent tour of districts in the Valley, issues relating to growth and development, internal and external security situation, rural and urban local body elections and other important matters. She also briefed the Governor about the tentative schedule of the Budget session in 2018.

The Governor stressed importance of ensuring transparent and accountable functioning of the administrative system, eradication of inefficient and corrupt elements, and early establishment of urban and grassroots level democratic institutions for welfare of people.
