CM dedicates ~14-crore Jind projects to public

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday announced to constitute an authority for the management of ponds in the state. He said the panel would work for the protection, conservation, development and rejuvenation of more than 14,000 ponds in various villages.

He said during the three-and-a-half-years of the BJP regime in the state, several development works had been undertaken.

He said during the 10 years of the Congress rule, about 6,500 development projects were undertaken. Whereas, 4,500 development projects had been announced during the BJP regime, of which 3,300 projects had been completed.

He said the irrigation project had ensured water supply to 293 canal tail ends. There were 300 canal tail ends, where water did not reach for the last 30 years.

He said Rs 19 crore had been released for repair work on roads in Jind city.

The Chief Minister said to overcome the shortage of doctors, around 20,000 medical professionals would be recruited. He also dedicated three projects costing Rs 14 crore, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Hostel, Bharat Bodh Gallery and Suvidha Kendra, for Jind.
