Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said the Congress should change its name to ‘Punjab-Puducherry Parivar Party’ as it was now ruling only in 2.5 per cent of the country’s population.

He said till the time the Congress was under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, they would never succeed.

He said this while addressing the party workers at the BJP office in Panchkula after the party’s victory in the Karnataka Assembly elections.

Khattar said the BJP workers should get ready for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in May 2019 and for Haryana in October 2019.

Referring to the willingness expressed by Rahul Gandhi to be a prime ministerial candidate, the Chief Minister said he should leave this wish for 2019 as well as for 2024 elections.
