As many as 59 mega infrastructure projects have reported cost overrun of Rs 1.36 lakh crore, Union Minister Vijay Goel said in Parliament on Wednesday. “As on April 1, 389 mega projects were on the monitor of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. Out of these, the cost of 59 projects has increased by Rs 1.36 lakh crore due to delay in their completion,” he said.
