David Warner maintained his top position in the Orange Cap race with Jonny Bairstow moving to second following their 100-run stand against Kolkata Knight Riders  on Sunday . Where Warner scored 67 runs, Bairstow remained unbeaten on 80 runs. The power-hitting SRH duo have been a handful for the opposition bowlers and it proved to be the case against KKR as well. Warner now has 517 runs from nine matches while Bairstow has 445 runs to his name this season.

Followed by the SRH pairing is the Kings XI Punjab duo of Chris Gayle and KL Rahul. Gayle has 421 runs from nine matches while KL Rahul has 399 runs with one more match played.

KKR’s Andre Russell has been pivotal for them lower down the order but his ability to create an impact for the team comes under threat with fewer balls to play as it was the case against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is fifth in the standings with 392 runs from 10 matches.
