DC AND HIS FAMILY CELEBRATES DUSSHERA IN A HUMANE WAY
SHARE FESTIVITIES WITH SPECIALLY ABLED AND HEARING & SPEECH IMPAIRED CHIDREN

In a humanitarian gesture, the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma and his family today celebrated the Dusshera festival with the specially able children at Paryas School and Red Cross School for Deaf in the city.
Deputy Commissioner along with his wife Mrs. Parveen Sharma and children went to the Red Cross School for Deaf in the morning to share the festivity of Dusshera with the special children. Mr. Sharma distributed the fruits and sweets to the children and enquired about the functioning of the school from the staff. He and Mrs. Sharma also had a round of the hostel to check the boarding and lodging facilities being offered to the students.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner and his family went to the Paryas School and exchanged the gifts with the students. He also had a detailed interaction with the Secretary District Red Cross Mr. Paramjeet Singh regarding the requirements in both the schools. Mr. Sharma assured him that all out efforts would be made to ensure that students in both these schools get the best facilities for their overall development.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the basic purpose behind the visit to the school was to share the joy of this traditional festival with these students. Mr. Sharma said that it was probably the best way to celebrate this festival-to mark the victory of good over evil. He said that this was a momentous occasion for him and his family to be amongst these children for celebrating this festival. Mr. Sharma further said that he would also celebrate the upcoming festivals with these students as its gives immense satisfaction to him.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Secretary Red Cross Mr. Paramjeet Singh and Principal of Red School for Deaf Mr PN Sharma.
