DC SEEKS SUPPORT OF PEOPLE TO KEEP A STERN VIGIL ON ILLEGAL MINING

EXHORTS PEOPLE TO REGISTER THEIR COMPLAINTS ONLINE THROUGH MOBILE APP, HELPLINE NUMBER AND EMAIL

Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma today called upon the people to come forward and help the district administration to keep a strict vigil over the illegal mining in the district by
registering their complaints online.

In a statement issued here today, the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar said that the state government and district administration has launched an online app, helpline number and email to facilitate the people for lodging their complaints. He said that in order to check the menace of illegal mining in the state, the Punjab government has launched PB GRAM online portal (www.publicgrievancepb.gov.in) where people could lodge their complaints regarding the illegal mining. He said that as per this commitment the state government to check this menace the Punjab government has launched this portal and anybody could lodge their complaint against illegal mining on it. Mr. Sharma said that in order to check illegal mining in the district Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) has been appointed as Nodal officer.

The Deputy Commissioner said that besides this portal people could also lodge their complaint regarding the illegal mining on helpline number 0181-2459664. He said that if any person wants to give information regarding illegal mining to the nodal officer then he could contact him on the helpline or email i.e. adc.gjal@gmail.com. Mr. Sharma called upon the people to use the portal, helpline number
or the email ID of the nodal officer for checking the menace of illegal mining in the district. He said that apart from these the complaints could also be lodged with the concerned SDM, DSP or the local SHO of the Police.
