Delegation of Ambassadors meets Vohra

A delegation of various heads of missions, including Gayatri Issar Kumar, Indian Ambassador to Belgium, Ajay Bisaria, Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan and Vikram Misri, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, who are on a visit to J&K, called on Governor NN Vohra here on Wednesday.

The heads of missions discussed with the Governor the political, economic and developmental issues related to the state. Ibrahim Hafeezur Rehman, Director, Vision for Technology, Belgium, also had a separate meeting with the Governor.

Rehman briefed the Governor about research work done by him in the field of environment and shared his views about the need for most urgent steps being taken for the conservation of the fragile ecology of the state, and, particularly, rejuvenation of the world-famous Dal and Wular lakes. He also offered suggestions regarding the initiatives required for the promotion of sustainable eco-friendly tourism here.

Meanwhile, Muneer Ahmad Khan, ADGP, Home Guards, Security, and Law and Order, briefed the Governor about several important matters relating to security and law and order management.
