DGP visits Budgam, interacts with officers

Director General of Police Dilbag Singh visited central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday where he interacted with officers and personnel.
Dilbag Singh said the state police had earned a “good name at national level by the dint of its courage and bravery and its contribution is being recognised internationally”.
“All forces have taken effective measures to maintain peace and order in the state and it is due to these steps and synergy between forces that we have achieved bigger successes in our fight against terrorism in recent days,” he said.
The police chief said the recent security measures had helped in achieving more successes against the terrorism during the recent weeks. He said the field officers, particularly the range and district officers, were doing a good job providing excellent leadership at different levels.
Thanking the government for fulfilling the requirements of the police, the police chief expressed hope that the government would address the department’s other demands as well.
