Justice Dipak Misra was sworn in as the 45th Chief Justice of India at a brief ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday.

President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath of office to Misra, 64, who will remain in office till October 2, 2018. He was the Chief Justice of Patna High Court and Delhi High Court before being elevated to the apex court in October 2011.
