National Outreach campaign “Connecting to Serve” has been launched by National Legal Services Authority from 09.11.2017 to 18.11.2017 across the country with the aim of creating Legal awareness besides taking initiative for redressal of Public Grievances. In this connection a Walkathon was organized by District Legal Services Authority, Rupnagar. Talking to the media crew the District & Sessions Judge, Rupnagar Sh. Balwinder Singh Sandhu told that the Walkathon was organized to create Public awareness regarding the services being provided by Legal Services Authority in which the Judges, Police & Executive Officers, Advocates, Para Legal Volunteers, School & College Students, Law Students from Rayat College of Law, Rupnagar. A detailed Program was chalked out, in which the Seminars would be held at various places with special attention to backward areas, Grievances Redressal Camp shall be organized in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Rupnagar in which the heads of various departments shall hear the grievances of people. An awareness seminar would be held in District Jail, Rupnagar. He also apprised that Help Desks has been also established in District Court, Rupnagar & Sub Divisional Judicial Court Anandpur Sahib.
