The Election Commission of India (ECI) has approved the name of ADGP, Punjab Police Mr. R. N. Dhoke as the Nodal Officer, Incharge election cell of Punjab Police in connection with General elections.

Divulging this here today, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Punjab, Mr. S. Karuna Raju said that the orders concerning the appointment of Mr. R. N. Dhoke have been issued by the ECI and a letter to this effect has been sent to the State Government.

It is worth mentioning that before this, Mr. V. K. Bhawra was discharging duties as the Nodal Officer of the Punjab Police for elections.
