A National outreach campaign namely “Connecting to Serve” is being launched across the country from 09.11.2017 to 18.11.2017 for creating awareness among the general public and redressal of the grievances of general public. In this connection various activities undertaken by District Legal Services Authority, Rupnagar for creation of awareness. A walkathon was organized on 09.11.2017 in which the Judicial, Police and Executive officers including School & College Children participated. A seminar was organized in District Jail, Rupnagar for creation of awareness for among the inmates. On the eve of Children Day the awareness program were organized in Government/Government aided Schools and Colleges. Various teams of Para Legal Volunteers and Panel Advocates were constituted for conducting Door to Door Campaign with special focus on marginalized sections of society. On the concluding day Hon’ble Mr. Justice T.P.S. Mann visited Prakash Memorial Deaf & Dumb School for specially abled children at Ropar. He issued necessary action to the District Administration that all the necessary steps required for the welfare of children be taken. District & Sessions Judge, Rupangar Sh. Balwinder Singh Sandhu and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Rupnagar, Sh. Ajitpal Singh was also present besides Police & Executive Officers.
