In all, 20 farmers and army officers from Jammu and Kashmir visited Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today to gain basic understating of agriculture and its allied occupations. Dr J.S. Chawla, Senior Maize Breeder, talked about maize cultivation while Dr T.S. Riar, Professor of Extension Education, spoke on the role of PAU in the agriculture development of Punjab. The delegation visited beekeeping unit, mushroom farm, kitchen garden, Crops Museum and Museum of Rural Life of Punjab in the University. The visit was held under the aegis of Directorate of Extension Education.
