Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali met Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhawan here today.

He briefed the Governor on the schemes and steps being taken by his department for ensuring timely, adequate and equitable distribution of rations, particularly in the far-off areas of the state.

Vohra appreciated Ali’s endeavours to provide timely rations to over 74 lakh BPL beneficiaries and urged him to make people aware of their entitlements, arrangements made for supplying rations and grievance redressal system. They also discussed the draft tribal policy.
