The Punjab Government agencies and private millers have procured total 15261635 tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till today evening which included 236407 tonnes procured on 5th November.

Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesman of Punjab Government said that out of total procurement of 15261635 tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers of Punjab, the Government agencies procured 15019847 tonnes of paddy (98.4%) till date whereas 241788 tonnes (1.6%) of paddy has been procured by millers.

He said that PUNGRAIN had procured 5025753 tonnes (32.9%), MARKFED procured 3384517 tonnes (22.2%). PUNSUP procured 3231614 tonnes (21.2%), PSWC procured 1521610 tonnes (10.0%) and PAFC was able to procure 1524434 tonnes (10.0%) of paddy. The Central Government agency FCI had been able to procure 331919 tonnes (2.2%).
