The Punjab Government agencies and private millers have procured total 3280305 tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till today evening which included 471256 tonnes procured on 13^th October.

Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesman of Punjab Government said that out of total procurement of 3280305 tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers of Punjab, the Government agencies procured 3131236 tonnes of paddy (95.5%) till date whereas 149069 tonnes (4.5%) of paddy has been procured by millers.

He said that PUNGRAIN had procured 974285 tonnes (29.7%), MARKFED procured 734487 tonnes (22.4%). PUNSUP procured 656955 tonnes (20.0%), PSWC procured 356861 tonnes (10.9%) and PAFC was able to procure 338507 tonnes (10.3%) of paddy. The Central Government agency FCI had been able to procure 70141 tonnes (2.1%).
