The Goods and Services Tax Council will meet in New Delhi today.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will chair the 30th Meeting of the Council via Video Conferencing. The Council is likely to discuss multiple proposals to help flood-ravaged Kerala recoup revenue losses. It will be the additional resources to meet the cost of rehabilitation and reconstruction after floods caused havoc in the State.

In its last meeting, the Council had approved a proposal to offer cash back to the poor sections of society for making digital payments through Rupay Debit card, BHIM, Aadhaar, UPI and USSD.
