Yamuna Nagar, 16 January : Dr Sudarshan Ghasso, former general secretary of HCTA (Haryana College Teachers Association) while giving his full support to suspended teachers stated that the problems of the Guru Nanak Khalsa College seems to have no end as the principal has not been able to arrange a meeting of the teachers’ union with the managing committee of the college.
He seems to have turned a deaf ear to the legitimate demand of the teachers with the result that there is no solution in sight despite the protest of the teachers in the form of dharna entered its 11th day.
The dharna was joined by teachers of Ambala zone who felt sorry at the site that even the democratic right of the teachers was violated and they had to take recourse to dharna at the road site. Dr Sajjan Singh, organizing secretary of HCTA firmly held the view that such type of irresponsible behavior of the college principal is to be dealt very strongly by the management and the government. He assured that the teachers from all over Haryana are united and will defiantly attain justice by getting the suspension of two teachers revoked.
He condemned the adamant and dictatorial behavior of the college administration and resented such unsympathic attitude of the principal. He urged the managing committee to take strong action against the college administration because it has lowered the image of the institution and assaulted the teachers fraternity. Shri Praksh, general secretary of HCTA assured the teachers that they will not succumb before the tyranny of the college administration and management.
He appealed to the management to reconsider the decision of suspension of two teachers before the situation grew worst. He said that teachers will not stop from going to any outrageous and they will be compelled to take the streets.
