Hindu Rashtra has space for Muslims too: Bhagwat
New Delhi
As he outlined the RSS’ all-inclusive and liberal idea of Hindutva, its chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday asserted the organisation believed in welfare of the entire world and the Constitution.
“A Hindu Rashtra does not mean there is no place for Muslims. The day it is said that Muslims cannot be part of this rashtra, it will not be Hindutva. It will defeat its very concept of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam ” Bhagwat said at the conclave “Bhavishya Ka Bharat An RSS Perspective”.
He said the idea of unity in diversity has been the path of the Indian culture since ancient times and that Hindutva was all about love for the nation, ancestors and culture. “The perception that the RSS plays a role in the functioning of a particular party is wrong. We never ask a swayamsevak to work for a particular party, we do ask them to back those working in nation building.”
