India and Cambodia today signed four agreements in the field of cultural exchange, an exchange line of credit of $26.9 million, memorandum of understanding

to cooperate in legal matter and an agreement on prevention of human trafficking.

The documents were exchanged in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and visiting Cambodian PM Hun Sen following delegation-level talks between the

two countries. New Delhi has agreed to set up a centre of IT excellence in Cambodia.

Prime Minister Modi underlined the historical connection between the two nations and assured that Indian remains committed to economic, social development,

commerce, tourism and people to people contact with Cambodia.

Prime Minister also stressed on the important threads of the common heritage that link the two nations. He specifically mentioned that the restoration work of

20th-century temple being done with Indian assistance.

Prime Minister also highlighted the immense trade potential between the two countries as he assured that bilateral trade will move northward in times to come.

Earlier in the day, the Cambodian Prime Minister was accorded ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the visiting

Prime Minister as he arrived at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The Cambodian Prime Minister also visited Rajghat to pay homage to the Father of The Nations, Mahatma Gandhi. The visiting Cambodian PM Hun Sen also

met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj early in the morning today. and discussed issues of mutual interest related to development partnership, trade and

investment, HRD and people-to-people contacts.
