Indian Air Force to get more firepower on its 87th Anniversary today. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh who is in Paris on a two day visit, will receive the first of the 36 Rafale fighter jet, on the foundation day of the Indian Air Force at Merignac along with French Minister of Armed Forces Florence Parly.

The Raksha Mantri to also attend Annual Defence Dialogue between the two countries. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh will meet French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris today. On Vijay Dashmi today, Rajnath Singh will perform ‘Shastra Puja’ and take a sortie in the fighter jet.

After reaching Paris, Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh said that his visit to France aimed at expanding the existing strategic partnership between both the countries. In a tweet he said, “Bonjour Paris! Delighted to be in France. This great nation is India’s important strategic partner and our special relationship goes far beyond the realm of formal ties. “
