The PHD Chamber of Commerce has thanked Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for reviving industrial and tourism incentives in Jammu and Kashmir.

A delegation, led by PHD Chamber president Anil Khaitan, and PHD Chamber of Commerce, Kashmir chapter, chairman, Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya, met the Chief Minister here on Thursday and expressed its gratitude for her efforts in reviving industrial and tourism incentives in the state.

The PHD Chamber of Commerce is a multi-state apex organisation working at the grassroots-level. It has strong national and international linkages to promote industry, trade and entrepreneurship.

The delegation apprised the Chief Minister that it would make all efforts to change Kashmir’s negative image at national and international-level to revive the tourism and industrial sectors in the state.

The Chamber also said it would facilitate her (Mehbooba’s) interaction with ambassadors of 22 countries and also organise interactions of investors from across India with local businessmen “to dispel the negative image about Kashmir.” They also discussed that the PHD Chamber would also help the Valley get investments from other parts of the country.
