Taking a jibe at the Congress for “resorting to politics of ‘vanshvad’ “, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the people were now calling it ‘bail-gaadi’ as top and some former ministers of the party were on ‘jamanat’ in different cases.

“I am saying bail-gaadi, not a bullock cart, as the party is known for its stalwarts and few former ministers are out on bail,” the PM, in an indirect attack on former finance minister P Chidambaram, told a rally.

“There is one group whose sleep gets disturbed if it listens the name of BJP, and if they listen my name with CM Vasundhara Raje a fever grips them…they even refrain from our such mega programme,” Modi said in an indirect scathing remark on Congress as the crowd chanted “Modi… Modi…Modi”.

PM Modi attacked the Congress for questioning Army’s capacity for the surgical strike into PoK in 2016 saying it was most unfortunate that “our political opponents did not desist from questioning country’s defence forces and public would not forgive them for this ‘sin'”.

Such a sin by any political party to put army in the dock has never happened before and the nation would not forgive those who are doing such politics, he said.

“Uneh Parivar Chahiye… vanshvad ki rajniti karni hai…karein.. par desh ki raksha, swabhiman aur shikhar par hamari rajniti atoot hai, saaf hai (They want their family only…resort to dynasty politics…let them do it. But we are firm, clear and united for nation’s security, integrity and prestige,” he added.

“It was our government that solved the One Rank, One pension matter for defence personnel with clear intentions. Hence the country is moving towards a new direction and your participation is a must for our success in all the schemes we have started and implemented so far in last four years,” PM Modi said sounding a poll bugle for BJP in Rajasthan in his about 30-minute speech after meeting beneficiaries.
