Jammu and Kashmir where an encounter is underway at Gahand area of Shopian in south Kashmir.

Based on specific information about the presence of terrorists in Gahand area , security forces launched a cordon and search operation there this morning.

As the forces were conducting searches, the terrorists fired upon them.Two terrorists have been killed so far during the ongoing counter terror operation.Security forces also recovered arms and ammunition  from the spot. Firing has  stopped now.
