Jamaica’s Usain Bolt was denied a fairytale ending to his career, as he was beaten by Americans Justin Gatlin and Christian Coleman in the men’s 100 final at the IAAF World Championships.

Bolt was competing in his last 100m final before retiring. His last race, however, will be on August 12, where he will look to bring gold for his country in the 4x100m relay event.

Justin Gatlin first became the men’s 100m world champion in 2005. Now 35, he was handed two drug bans in his career.
