Kriti Sanon poses with taxidermy giraffe for magazine cover, receives flak.
Actor Kriti Sanon has surprised her fans with a recent photo-shoot for a magazine cover. The actor shared the behind-the-scenes video of the shoot, in which we can see a stuffed giraffe, polar bear and other animals in the background. She looks stunning in every outfit chosen for her but the backdrop of the floating taxidermied giraffe was not received too well by fans. The shoot took place at Aynhoe Park, which is well known for being filled with taxidermied animals.
Cosmopolitan India shared the picture of the actor and has also explained that taxidermy is the art of preserving animals that died of natural causes. Yet, the post has received backlash. One person on Instagram wrote, “@kritisanon ..How about doing a shoot where you are hung up helplessly like that and animals moving around freely!!! What message is this photo spreading? Take a stand and say NO such unethical, negativity-spreading, human-showing-their-power-over-the-mute shoots..”
Another user commented, “Shame @cosmoindia ! Might as well feature @kritisanon suspended from the ceiling with balloons around her waist and call it art?” There were also users who felt that Taxidermy was a superficial excuse and commented, “’It’s not hanging, heavens no’ What bullsh*t! We don’t care if it’s floating with balloons. Just take the picture down!!! Not cool @cosmoindia and @kritisanon this is just not right.”
