Udhampur
In an accident due to negligent driving, a minibus overturned on the Udhampur-Pathankot Dhar road near Barrian on Wednesday. Three persons were killed and six were injured in the mishap.

According to the police, the driver of a speeding minibus, which was on its way from Saillan Talab to Garhi Rahamble, lost control in a bid to overtake another minibus, after which the vehicle overturned.

The deceased have been identified as Bhushan Kumar, a resident of Barrian, Udhampur and Vinay Kumar, a resident of Lanssi, Udhampur. The identity of the third person could not be ascertained.

The police immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the District Hospital, Udhampur. The doctors referred one of the injured to the Military Hospital, Udhampur. A case has been registered and an inquiry is underway.

The injured have been identified as Simran Sharma, Surinder Butt, Bindiya Devi, Gopal Dass, Manvi and Tripta Rani.
