Nepal’s PM reshuffles his cabinet; inducts six new cabinet ministers, three MoS

Nepal’s Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has reshuffled his cabinet inducting six new cabinet ministers and three ministers of state. President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered oath of office and secrecy to six newly appointed cabinet ministers at President House in Kathmandu Thursday morning.

The new cabinet ministers are Hridayesh Tripathi , Ghanashyam Bhusal , Lekh Raj Bhatta (Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies), Rameshwar Raya Yadav , Basanta Kumar Nembang and Parvat Gurung .

The newly appointed ministers of state, Moti Lal Dugad, Nava Raj Rawat and Ram Bir Manandhar took oath from Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli.

Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun, National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

Portfolio of Minister for Health and Population Upendra Yadav has been swapped with Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal.

Mr. Yadav will be Deputy Prime Minister with Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. While Mr. Dhakal has been given the charge of Minister for Health and Population.

Prime Minister Oli had dropped six cabinet ministers and three state ministers from 25 member cabinet last night to induct nine new faces in his 21 months old government.
