New York terror attack happened ‘5 blocks’ from Priyanka Chopra’s home. Here’s what she said
Eight people were killed in a terror attack when a driver ploughed through cyclists and pedestrians in New York City. According to reports, Priyanka Chopra, who was spotted filming the third season of her TV show Quantico just hours before, said on Twitter that the attack happened “just five blocks” from her residence.
Priyanka condemned the attack in a tweet, saying that she heard “dreary sirens” as she headed back home after work. She also offered her condolences to “everyone affected by the tragedy.”
Priyanka is in New York to shoot for her ABC show. In the set pictures that appeared online on Sunday, the star can be seen involved in a kidnapping plot, with a black cloth being wrapped around her head as a man grabs her from behind.
Priyanka recently wrapped filming in Italy for the 13-episode third season of the spy thriller – the previous two seasons have had 22 episodes each – and is now in New York City.
Priyanka plays FBI agent Alex Parrish on the show. The show, despite its bad ratings in the second season, was renewed for another and will be out soon on ABC Network. Her last film was her Hollywood debut, Baywatch, with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. She will be seen next in supporting roles in movies A Kid Like Jake with Jim Parsons and Claire Danes and in Isn’t It Romantic? with Liam Hemsworth and Rebel Wilson.
