District Administration Rupnagar took the initiative to clean the city after completion of holla mohalla festival. However there is influx of thousand of pilgrims but administration has started the project of cleanliness today morning 7 AM. DC Rupnagar Gurneet tej, SDMs Rakesh Garg and Ruhee Dugg, MO Dr. Ranbir singh, EO Manjinder Singh and Executive engineer Virasat-e-khalsa B.S. channa started this cleanliness project today morning from ravidas chowk and covered the city area surrounding takht sri kesgarh sahib. Officers and dozens of sweepers encouraged shopkeepers and local residents in this cleanliness movement. DC Rupnagar assured proper dumping of wastes and proper fogging of the mela area. SDM Rakesh Kumar garg told that in kiratpur sahib, EO Jagjit singh has also started this project. This project would be continued in the mela area next few days
