On the occasion of the centenary of the Shiromani Akali Dal, an unparalleled history of the organization will be depicted

During the painting workshop, 31 painters created paintings on the establishment of the Shiromani Committee

During the painting workshop held at the local Bhai Gurdas Hall dedicated to the centenary of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, 31 painters have painted paintings depicting the sacrificial history of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. On the last day of the painting workshop, Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal, President of the Shiromani Akali Dal, presented a check for the encouragement of the painters and lauded the paintings made by the painters. Speaking on the occasion, Bhai Longowal said that the history of the establishment of the Sikh body Shiromani Committee has been full of sacrifices and its achievements towards the nation are also great. He said that on the occasion of 100th Establishment Day, the exhibition of paintings by these artists would be a special attraction for the Sangat. He said that it was the result of hard work of the painters to adapt the historical events to the date and year. He said that this was the first time that this event was held on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak. The SGPC President said that the purpose of creating and displaying historical paintings was to bring the present generation and youth face to face with the sacrificial heritage of Sikhism. He said that these paintings would be displayed during the centenary celebrations and would also be exhibited in different parts of Punjab and other states in the future. Meanwhile, Bhai Longowal also announced a special award for five best painters.

On this occasion intimate member Mr. Mangwinder Singh Khaparkheri, Member Bhai Manjit Singh, Bhai Ram Singh, S. Harjap Singh Sultanwind, S. Harwinder Singh Khalsa, Secretary Mahinder Singh Ahli, S. Sukhdev Singh Bhurakohna, S. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, S. Secretary Singh, S. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, S. Narinder Singh Mathrewal, S. Iqbal Singh Chief, S. Balwinder Singh Jodrasingha, Bhai Jagdev Singh, S. Darshan Singh Longowal and others were present.
