On October 24 elections were held in British Columbia in which counting of postal ballots was started yesterday and today it’s results were declared by Elections BC. According to results Punjaban Harwinder Sandhu of NDP from Varnan Monashi defeated Liberal candidate Eric foster.

Though Election BC is yet to declare final result but counting of votes is almost complete. Harwinder Sandhu got 9568 votes whereas Eric got 9286 votes and was leading by 282.After Harwinder Sandhu’s victory number of Punjabis is BC Assembly has reached a recort and now 9 Punjabis will be MLAs.
