Parliament adjourned yet again due to disruption

Pandemonium was witnessed in Rajya Sabha when AIADMK members stalled the proceeding forcing Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu to adjourn for 15 minutes in the beginning and later for the day.

Similar situation was prevalent in Lok Sabha, where AIADMK members trooped into the well raising slogans in support of their demand in connection with Cauvery river waters. Amid noisy scenes, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the House till noon within minutes after it met and later for the day.

Opposition have stalled the proceedings of current session in both the Houses for last 15 days.

In the Lok Sabha, the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Bill, 2018 was scheduled to be introduced on Tuesday.

The Trafficking of Persons (Prevention, Protection and Rehabilitation) Bill, 2018, the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (Amendment) Bill 2018, the Commercial Courts, Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division of High Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2018 and the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill, 2018 were also scheduled to be introduced in the Lower House.

In the Rajya Sabha, the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, 2017, the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill, 2013 and the State Banks (Repeal and Amendment) Bill, 2017 were listed for consideration and passing.
