PAU PADDY STRAW MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY LICENSE FOR 25 COMPANIES

With the PAU Super SMS Technology showing good results in the fields, seven more companies today signed pact with the University for Commercialization of the same, taking the number to a total of 25. The MoA was signed by the Director Research, Dr Navtej Singh Bains on behalf of PAU with representatives of M/s Guru Gobind Singh Engg. Works, Moga, M/s Gurdeep Engineering Works, Nabha, M/s Mankoo Agro Tech. Pvt Ltd, Patiala, M/s Sarwan Engineering Pvt Ltd, Patiala, M/s Satnam Engineering Works, Patiala, M/s Gahir Agricultural Industries, Nabha, and M/s Guru Nanak Engineering Works, Bathinda.
The Punjab Agricultural University Vice Chancellor, Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, while addressing the manufacturers, thanked them for their initiative towards taking the straw management technology to the farmers. “Punjab”, he said, “is passing through a very sensitive phase and it is in the state’s broader interest to stop burning the paddy stubble”.
Also present during the meeting were PAU Registrar, Dr R.S. Sidhu, Director Extension, Dr Ashok Kumar, Dean P.G.S., Dr Neelam Grewal, Director Students Welfare, Dr R.K. Dhaliwal, Additional Directors of Research, Additional Directors of Extension, Deans and Heads of various departments.
