A week-long “Inter-College Youth Festival 2017-18” got off to a colourful start at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today. The students from four constituent colleges of PAU namely College of Agriculture, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, College of Home Science and outstation institutions are participating in the wide range of events. Collage making, extempore/elocution and cartooning events marked the inaugural day of the fest. In collage making, students showcased their creative abilities on the topic ‘Smart City’ while in elocution, students spoke on the topic “Increasing need of moral values in the present era.”Inaugurating the fest, the Chief Guest, Dr (Mrs) R.K. Dhaliwal, Director Students’ Welfare, PAU, exhorted the students to maintain a balance between academics and co-curricular activities. The spirit of participation is vital to scale new heights in life, she added, while lauding the verve of students for participation in the fest.
