PM Modi calls for a celebration of ‘Nari Shakti’
The festival of Dussehra symbolizing the victory of good over evil celebrated with pomp and gaeity across the country; Prime Minister Narendra Modi participates in a Ramlila program in Delhi; highlights importance of women’s empowerment and calls for a celebration of ‘Nari Shakti’.
The auspicious occasion of Vijay Dashami celebrates the victory of good over evil. The festival of Dussehra celebrated on Tuesday marks the end of Navratri festival.This is the day when Lord Ram killed demon king Ravana after a long battle.
PM Modi on Tuesday attended the Dusshera celebrations at Delhi’s Dwarka and witnessed the Ram Leela ahead of ritualistic burning of demon king Ravan’s effigy.
PM was welcomed by the organisers by presenting him a copy of holy book Ramcharitmanas and a set of bow and arrow.. He then performed aarti of Lord Ram, Laksman and Sita.
Describing India as a land of Shakti Sadhna, PM said in the last nine days we worshipped Maa. Taking that spirit ahead, let us always work towards furthering empowerment as well as dignity of women.
PM Modi also extended his good wishes and greetings on the occasion of Air Force Day.He said, India is phenomenally proud of our Air Force.
