PM Modi flags-off 900th coach and a ‘Humsafar’ rake of Modern Coach Factory in Rae Bareli
On a day long visit to Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off 900th coach of the Rae Bareli factory and a Humsafar Rake of Modern Coach Factory.
Earlier Prime Minister Modi inspected the Modern Rail Coach Factory. He took a round of the factory and interacted with the workers there.
PM Modi was apprised by the officials of the works being carried out at the Factory.
He also inspected Humsafar Rake at the Factory and collected information about the operation of the moder coach being produced for several high speed trains.
Officials presented Prime Minister a replica of the Rail coach factory.
PM Modi also launched several development projects worth over one thousand crore rupees at Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing a gathering, the Prime Minister Modi said that Modern Rail Coach Factory was approved in 2007 and the aim was to make 1,000 new coaches.
He said, only three per cent of the machines were working in 2014 but after coming to power NDA government changed this.
He said, Raebareli coach factory will soon be a global hub.
The Prime Minister said that the factory will produce coach of high-speed trains, metro trains and aluminium coaches.
He said, the expansion of coach factory would generate employment opportunities for people.
Prime Minister said, earlier governments neglected the development of Rae Bareli but the Central government is committed to it.
He said, development in Raebareli is also fast-growing.
On Rafale deal, PM Modi accused Congress of spreading lies for personal gains and compromising national security.
