PM opens digital art gallery

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated a state-of-the-art digital art gallery set up by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on the premises of a toll plaza on the Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal (KGP) expressway near Jakholi village in Sonepat district.

During inspection of the gallery, he was briefed by Yudhvir Singh Malik, chairman of the NHAI, about the utility of the KGP and Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway in reducing vehicular traffic in Delhi and launching development activities on both sides of the expressways.

Details about construction of the KGP expressway were put on display in the gallery. Replicas of 36 monuments like India Gate were put up in the gallery.

The Prime Minister was received by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Women and Child Development Minister Kavita Jain and Sonepat MP Ramesh Kaushik at a temporary helipad near the toll plaza.
