New Delhi : The AAP government led by Mr. Arvind Kejriwal has finally bowed before the pressure of the public and has put up boards on renaming of Barapulla bridge as Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Bridge.
It is worth mentioning here that the Delhi MLA and Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa had led a campaign to rename this bridge after the name of great national legend Baba Banda Singh Bahadur as per the announcement of Mr. Arvind Kejriwal and infact he had himself got prepared the boards and put up these at the venue of the Barapulla bridge when Mr. Kejriwal had tried to turn his back on the issue.

Mr. Sirsa disclosed the when the Punjab polls were round the corner Mr. Kejriwal as per his policy of exploiting the sentiments of the people had announced to rename this Barapulla bridge after the name of the great national legend Baba Banda Singh Bahadur. When the party got a humiliating defeat in the Punjab elections, Mr. Kejriwal like on his other promises turned his back to rename the bridge. Mr. Sirsa further said that after waiting for a long time he himself got these boards prepared and put up along the bridge.
Mr. Sirsa further said that it was amusing to see that when he had put up boards MLAs of AAP had made tall claims of boards already being there but now bowing before the public pressure the government has been put up the new ones on the bridge renaming it.
The Delhi MLA said that he along with the people of Delhi was committed to get implemented every promise and announcement made by Mr. Kejriwal as he is habitual offender to forget his announcements. He said that similarly he will be forced to implement his announcements on recruitment of Punjab teachers, status of Punjabi language, on implementing hookah ban, promise to use 700 crores of environment cess for improving Delhi environment, improvements in education and health sector besides others. He said that people of Delhi have already become aware of the lies of the AAP and now pressure by the public will force the AAP government to perform.
