Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder has condoled the death of the wife of Mandi Board Chairman and former Minister Lal Singh.

Surjit Kaur (72), who was the mother of mother of Samana MLA Rajinder Singh, passed away today at a private hospital in Mohali.

In his condolence message, the Chief Minister described Surjit Kaur as a pillar of strength behind the successful long political career of Lal Singh. Captain Amarinder remembered her as a fine lady committed to social and human values.

Sharing his heartfelt condolences with the members of the bereaved family, relatives and friends, Captain Amarinder prayed to the Almighty to give them strength and said the entire Congress family was with them in their hour of grief.
