Punjab State Maa Lakshmi Diwali Pooja Bumper-2019 illuminated the life of Sanjeev Kumar, resident of Chururu village in Una district of Himachal Pradesh as he won the first prize of Rs. 2.5 crore.

Sanjeev works as a painter, plumber and electrician. He said that he bought two tickets from a lottery stall near Nangal bus stand while he was returning from PGI, Chandigarh after getting his son checked.

Father of a girl and a boy, Sanjeev said that he bought two lottery tickets and ticket no. A-411577 hit the jackpot. He is a sole bread winner in his family and hopeful that the hefty prize would eliminate his all financial problems.

Talking about future plans, the lucky winner said that he would use the prize money for the studies of his two children. Sanjeev Kumar has submitted the documents with Punjab State Lotteries Department to claim the prize money. The Lotteries Department officials assured him to earliest release of the prize money.

Notably, the Lotteries Department held the draw of Punjab State Maa Lakshmi Diwali Pooja Bumper-2019 at Ludhiana on November 1, 2019 and the first prize of Rs.5 crore has gone to two tickets no. A-411577 and B-315020 (Rs. 2.5-2.5 crore each).
