Rajya Sabha adjourned till 2 PM over uproar on JNU issue, J&K

Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 2 PM after opposition uproar on the JNU issue and situation in Jammu and Kashmir. As soon as House met for the day, Left MPs along with AAP and some Congress members tried to raise the issues. However, Chairman Venkaiah Naidu denied them permission. As the din continued, the Chairman adjourned the house till 2 PM. The JNU students are protesting against fee hike and draft hostel manual.

Earlier, the House observed two minutes of silence over the passing away of former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe. The House also congratulated economist Abhijeet Banerjee for winning the Nobel prize for Economics. Chairman said it is a great pride for India.
