RANA SLAMS AAP AS BUNCH OF ‘OPPORTUNISTS AND TURNCOATS’
LEADERS WERE BEREFT OF ANY IDEOLOGICAL COMMITMENT AND WERE NOT SINCERE TO THE STATE

Irrigation and Power Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh today said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was a bunch of ‘opportunists and turncoats’, who could be never loyal to the people of the state.
Interacting with the media persons after addressing a massive rally organized by Congress leaders who have recently left the AAP, the Minister said that the AAP and its leaders neither have any ideology nor they have any commitment to the people of the state. He said that these people dreamt of ruling the state by showing green pastures to the people but they were shown the door by the wise voters of the state, who voted for the Congress party in the assembly polls.Rana Gurjeet Singh said that fugitives from other parties have joined hands in AAP to satiate their lust for power but people gave a befitting lesson to them.
The Minister said that AAP was like a house of cards that would be fall very soon. He said that these leaders were bereft of any ideological commitment and were not sincere to the state and its people. Rana Gurjeet Singh said that that those people who were not loyal to their parties could never be sincere with the state.
On another query, the Minister said that NRIs must spent their hard money of these political forces, who have used the funds for their vested interests. He said that rather than funding these forces the NRI must spend the money of the development of their native villages through active support and cooperation of the state government.
Reacting sharply on the extension of tax rebate to neighboring by the BJP led NDA government at the centre, the Minister said that it would adversely hit the prospects of industrial growth in the state. He said that it was a major setback for the state’s economy in general and industrialization in particular. Rana Gurjeet Singh said that the Punjab government would soo take up this issue with the Government of India.
Earlier addressing the mammoth gathering, the Minister said that those people who consider their hereditary rights over this constituency have done nothing for its development and welfare of its people. He said that as per their convenience these people changed their loyalities from one party to another. Rana Gurjeet Singh said that once these people were close to terrorists and now they were extracting money from NRIs on name of dinners. He asked the people to beware of these forces.
On the request of local residents to start direct bus service from Bholath to Mata Chintpurni Shrine in HP, Chandigarh, Jalandhar and delhi, the Minister announced that from Monday direct bus service from Bholath to Jalandhar would be started. He also announced to open party office in Bholath to redresss the grievances of workers.
The Minister was accompanied by MLA Mr. Ramanjeet Singh Sikki, President Punjab Youth Congress Mr. Amarbeer Singh Lally, Congress leaders Mr. Amandeep Singh Gora Gill and Mr. Hardev Singh Laddi Sherowalia and President of District Youth Congress Jalandhar Mr. Ashwini Bhalla.
